Home Loan Improvement Finance Pty Ltd (functioning under the Bradbury Finance brand) is approved by the NHFC (National Housing Finance Corporation) to offer this government subsidy to first time home owners who earn a combined household income of R3500 – R22 000.
The loan provided by Home Improvement Finance (Pty) Ltd must be used for housing-related purposes, such as:
Buying a house
Buying land and building a house on it
Adding to, altering, maintaining or repairing an existing residence
Building or renovating a residence in rural areas
How The Application Process Works
Employees will need to complete the following process in order to apply and/or be approved for our Home Improvement Financing:
Complete a HIF and FLISP* application at your company.
Send the application(s) to Home Improvement Finance (Pty) Ltd, along with latest 3 month payslips, 3 month bank statements, quotation for home improvements (and FLISP required documentation).
Home Improvement Finance (Pty) Ltd conducts an affordability check based on the National Credit Act and information on the Credit Bureau.
If the loan is approved - the employee is notified and the supplier is paid directly, as per the quotation.
Spot checks will be done on the employees’ home renovation/ upgrade/ home purchase by the NHFC and within 3 months a monitor will confirm that the funds have been used for housing. *only if applicable.
Important Considerations
In order to qualify for any of the Home Improvement Financing options employees:
must earn a gross income of R22 000 or less
must comply with the National Credit Act rules regarding affordability
The funds will only be paid directly to the supplier and never to an employee.
